The single driving harness :
There are three types of single driving harness:
1. breast-collar harness
2. collar harness
3. marathon harness
Depending on the carriage type the following differences have to be considered :
The single breast-collar harness:
By this harness the horse tows the carriage by the breast only.
In case the harness is attached to low on the joints of the legs the forward freedom of movement is severely limited.
If it´s attached to high the resulting pressure on the trachea negatively impacts breathing of the horse.
Due to above mentioned reasons we pay special attention on anatomically correct shapes of our breast collars.
They are soft padded without causing drapery. On request we also offer folded and padded breast-collar harnesses.
The selett on a one-horse harness:
On a selett used with a one-axle carriage we recommend to use a flexible and continuous gig saddle bearer.
The strap will be flexible on the abdominal belt.
By a two-axle carriage with fixed rods we also offer a selett with continuous gig saddle bearer.
By a two-axle carriage with flexible rods it´s advisable to offer a selett with fixed gig saddle bearer.
You also should pay attention to a withers space.
The single collar harness:
The collar is placed completely on the shoulder of the horse - this means that the drag will spread over a larger surface.
Trachea and joints of the legs remain free. For reasons of correct fitting the collar must be measured precisely.
The stuffing of our collar bases on rye straw. The collar is formed by a collar hump and finally coated by finest harness leather.
The collar brackets are made out of stainless steel.
The single marathon collar harness :
Although the marathon collar offers a lot of adjustabilities, it should be fixed also.
You should pay your attention to the space on the prow articular, as well as not to impact natively the trachea of the horse.
So the drag is divided at the best and the power of the horse can be used completely.
Our marathon collar offers an adjustability between 8-10 cm. It is a stable light weight and shaped anatomic.
The single working harness :
A work collar must be tried on. After measuring and manufacturing of the harnesses we also fit those products to the horses.
The pair driving harness :
There are three types of pair driving harnesses too :
1. pair breast-collar harness
2. pair collar harness
3. pair marathon collar harness
The pair breast-collar harness :
Like the single breast-collar harness. The pair driving breast-collar are not fixed on the selett but on the mane cover.
The mane cover should be padded soft like the selett and not overlie the withers.
An appropriate chamber for the horse must be provided. Also the size should be okay, so that there will be no harness pressure.
Our mane cover includes - if there are no other agreements with our customers - two long hand filled pads
with hidden border and a double sided buggled abdominal belt.
The breast-collar harness should - like single harnesses - suit exactly in it´s size.
It should not be fixed to deep on the joints of the legs, also not too high, in order to constrict the breathing.
A to long or to short breast-collar harness effects a compression generation over the mane cover.
The draw line from breast -collar, trace and carriage should be a straight line.
The pair collar harness :
This harness are fixed on the mane cover and not on the selett too. The mane cover should be padded soft like
the selett and not overlie the withers.An appropriate chamber for the horse must be provided.
Also the size should be okay, so that there will be no harness pressure.
